Gehard Demetz - Your monsters are just like mine

I really enjoy Demetz use of scale simular to the work of Ron Mueck because it can have such an affect on the way a piece of work is viewed. Demetz enlarges the scale of children making them appear more powerful than they really are. Demetz works around the theme of children's theories of physcology and also the loss of innocence.

"It is often said that children are privy to a certain wisdom inaccessible to adults, that their naivete allows them to gaze at the world without the cynicism that comes from a long time of living in it." - Gehard Demetz
